  • MINNESOTA LOONS EVALUATION SESSIONS for FALL 2025 / SUMMER 2026

    Whether you’re looking to return stronger or earn your first Loons jersey, this is your shot to compete, stand out, and show what you bring to the field.

    These sessions are for student athletes interested in playing for the Minnesota Loons program for Fall 2025 through Summer 2026. This tryout is intended for both returning Loons and new players. 

     

    • Open to high school grad years from 2026-2036
    • 2026 High School Grads will be able to participate in the Fall and Winter only
    • Athletes 2027-2036 will be selected for 2025 Sept - 2026 July season roster
    • Registration covers Athlete participation for the 24th and the 29th, attendance to both sessions is strongly suggested and appreciated 
  • Locations: White Bear Lake High School & University of Northwestern St. Paul

    Round 1: Thursday, July 24, 2025
    Boys HS Grads 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029- 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
    Boys Youth (High School Grads) 2030, 2031, 2032, 2033, 2034, 2035, 2036, 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.


    -Player invitations will begin after the first round of tryouts and we will continue to evaluate through the second round on the 29th. 

    -All athletes including returning Loons team members are required to attend tryout evaluations

    Round 2: Tuesday, July 29, 2025
    Boys HS Grads 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029-  4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
    Boys Youth ("High School Grads") 2030, 2031, 2032, 2033, 2034, 2035, 2036- 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS AFTER TRYOUTS?

  1. Invitations will be extended to those chosen with a commitment opportunity
  2. Complete Loons Membership Registration to join as Minnesota Loons Team Member
  3. Onboarding, member support, guidance/coaching, and access to the Loons Training Center (LTC)
  4. Payment plan for individual player dues will be initiated
  5. Participate in all team/player training
  6. Compete in all selected team events/tournaments
