  • MINNESOTA LOONS EVALUATION SESSIONS for FALL 2026 / SUMMER 2027

    Whether you’re looking to return stronger or earn your first Loons jersey, this is your shot to compete, stand out, and show what you bring to the field.

    These sessions are for student athletes interested in playing for the Minnesota Loons program for Fall 2026 through Summer 2027. This tryout is intended for both returning Loons and new players. 

    • Open to high school grad years from 2027-2036
    • 2027 High School Grads will be able to participate in the Fall and Winter only
    • Athletes 2028-2036 will be selected for 2026 Sept - 2027 July season roster
    • Registration covers Athlete participation for both sessions.Attendance to both sessions is suggested and appreciated. (If athlete is unable to attend both sessions please mention within registration)
  • Modifications/Plans for 2026/2027 season

     

    • Full Integration with developmental app "360 Player"

     

    • NO youth event dates planned to conflict with the annual "Black and Blue, and Champions of Summer" event dates.

     

    • Reinstatement of winter optional travel field tournament

     

    • Early Fall Box kick off start. (about 1 month earlier than prior years!)

    High School: 2027-2029
    Youth: 2030-2036
     
    Session 1- July 15th. White Bear Lake Area High School. West Practice Field
    Youth- 4:00-5:30pm
    High School- 6:00-7:30pm
     
    Session 2- July 28th. University of Northwestern, Roseville. Stadium
    Youth-2030-2036 4:00pm-5:30pm
    High School- 2027-2029 8:30pm-10:00pm
     

    *Player invitations will begin after the first round of tryouts and we will continue to evaluate through the second round on the 28th.

WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS AFTER TRYOUTS?

  1. Invitations will be extended to those chosen with a commitment opportunity
  2. Complete Loons Membership Registration to join as Minnesota Loons Team Member
  3. Onboarding, member support, guidance/coaching, and access to the Loons Training Center (LTC)
  4. Payment plan for individual player dues will be initiated
  5. Participate in all team/player training
  6. Compete in all selected team events/tournaments
